Hi
Does anyone know when Great War Miniatures will be releasing French or Turkish for their Crimean War range? And if so, any ideas as to how extensive a range they will be releasing? Lots of nice British and enough Russians to be getting on with, but I'd like to know when the main combatants will arrive! (French that is :-))

Supposedly the French are in the works. No word on the Turks.

Can't wait to see the French in this range (the GWM ww1 french were exceptional.)

Definitely one of those ranges that look interesting but I can see a lot of people waiting to see if it gets farther along than just Brits and Russians.

I think people should remember that these guys have real jobs and just make their own figures in their own time which also involves trying to fit in family and friends, but what they produce will be worth the wait.

I can appreciate that but unless they start giving the figures away I have to spend my money in the places where I feel the best long term value will be found. There have been plenty of ranges that were started and never finished. I have little interest in the Brits but would be very interested in the French or especially the Turks. Plenty of action between the Russians and the Turks that had nothing to do with the Brits.

There's a lot of companies that delivered half a range before moving on to something else. I guess it's the catch 22 of the industry. The public wants to see a complete line but the manufacturer wants to see some return on the current product before producing more or at least wants to sell some of the current stuff to help fund the second phase.

How do they compare to Mirlitons' 1859 range.
They have new French infanttry out

I only discovered the Mirliton figures recently, and their French do like quite good. Does anyone know how they shape up compared to GWM of Foundry? I have a suspistion looking at the website that Mirliton figs might be a bit skinny / sleight in comparison?

I have just bough the new Mirliton French and regard them as compatible with Foundry (true of the entire Italian Independence range). No idea about GWM though.
