What I really want is to be able to buy some of the rather lovely Blue Moon Manufacturing French Indian War 15/18mm buildings. link
But Old Glory UK, who import Blue Moon in the UK, don't seem to stock the things and the shipping (plus UK tax and handling charges) makes it prohibitively expensive to buy the things direct. Anyone any idea where I can get something similar at a reasonable price in the UK? Or am I going to have to have a go at making them myself? |

If sourcing does become a problem, as I too balked at the postage required by Blue Moon (US) I did build my own: link From this: link I will be making cabins and barns for my medieval hamlets set in Bavaria, which have a similar appearance. Cheers, |

There is a note with our shipping cost for overseas that states you need to contact Blue Moon via email of the items that you desire and we will get back to you with actual shipping cost. There are a lot of these buildings that we can get into a flat rate mailer, which is about the cheapest postage for overseas that we can get. |

You can also contact Andy from Old Glory UK and he can order what you want with one of his orders from Old Glory and Blue Moon and you can then get it from him in the UK. |

Why not make your own? It'll be just what you want. And you'll have the satisfaction of being able to do all you want. Much less expensive. For things log-built I use wooden skewers I get at the grocerie store. Usually 100 in a bag for $1.00 USD. Not hard to work with. Paint up fine. For other buildings balsa wood works well. |
