While doing a repair for the boys Thomas trains I got to thinking: Anyone kit bash/convert these for crude 28mm stuff? Might be the beer, but I was thinking I could hack out a lancia out of this much abused Sodor cast off. Prob crazy, but free.

I was cooking up the idea of doing A Very British Civil War on Sodor, and use the various faces off of Thomas Trains on vehicles for the game. Others have had similar ideas. Do a searchy and you'll find a bunch of stuff here…

I'm going to grab the mechanical Thomas and paint him up as an Irish narrow gauge for my IWI village, but first I have to distract the guards!

Yup. Did a nice VSF steam tank using the shell of a Thomas the Tank Engine toy:

T'was a handy find, a broken up toy thrown into the dumpster at the shopping center where I used to work over 12 years ago, and that languished in my parts bin for almost 10 years until Ed at Two Hour Wargames asked me to do up some VSF steam tanks one day…evil grin

Parts is parts, and even Thomas the Tank Engine toys are fair game IMHO…evil grin*guiness*
