'where did anyone argue that: "the French ignored the logistical problems they faced." Stop creating strawman arguments. Oh, and if you ask for "Source(s) on logistics failures in Russia?", do not complain when you are given some.' I wasn't complaining, I'll leave that to you. You didn't, however, cite any passages that would have been helpful. Haven't some of the postings here refer to French logistics collapsing in Poland before the invasion? I don't see references for that, which would be helpful. It certainly didn't happen in Davout's I Corps and I'm going through the references that you listed slowly and haven't found a definitive passage(s) for that claim yet. And I raised no strawman argument-quit attempting to provoke an argument. You tend to do that a lot and the last time you did you were out for over a month. Sincerely, K |

Kevin, You stated: "I don't agree that the French ignored the logistical problems they faced." Given that no poster on this thread had claimed that they did, what was the purpose of your comment other than to try to create a strawman argument, something that you are very prone to doing. It does seem that you just cannot handle debate and discussion when your beliefs are challenged. This is my last response to you in this thread as, yet again, you have demonstrated your usual tactics of creating strawman arguments, attempting to change the topic, and using Elting as if his work was revealed truth. If I am Dawghoused for this, fine; it is worth it. |
