I recently raised a small commando of Black Panthers for various game themes -- spy/thriller, Pulp, Gangster, whatever fits or can be shoehorned to fit. There is a pack called "The Soul Section" from Copplestone that provides three basic types; the rest I have converted from various other gangster figures (a pack of east European secret agents from Copplestone was esp. good) by simply adding a beret with sculpting epoxy. paint 'em up however you will; I was looking for figures carrying standard street-fighter/armed radical weapons and in what could pass for black leather, black berets and black jackets being the official Panther soldier uniform. The movie "Panther" provides inspiration for outfits and scenarios and some 60's radical background. This should be a fun group to run. Smash the system, fight the power, free Huey! ;-)

I think the usual Italian mobsters on our gaming table are in for quite a shock when the new gang arrives. Turf wars a-comin'!

I'm working on a jazz band set from Black Cat Bases (I think it was), and added some berets to a few of them, too. Not so much as Black Panthers (altho' at least one of the players will be black) as to make them look more beatnik-y.

Solid cool, daddio. Beats and Panthers! That'll show whitey.

Kung Fu brother looks the part! I could see the psychodelic band gang. Or roller gangs. You know, all the stuff on the Warriors movie! Such a classic gang movie!

Oh man. Killer B, where have you been in my life? Those are magnificent -- placing order straightaway. Thanks, Patrick R, and be sure to ask Killer B for your commission.

piper, the more posts I read by you, the more I think we pipers just think alike. I don't have the Copplestone figures, but I have all the Reaper miniatures shown above and the similarly-themed ones by RAFM and Hasslefree, here.

Hola, Angry Piper! (but why the rage?)

Those are great! Why won't people here stop leading me into temptation?? Now I've got to buy MORE things.

This thread could be the definitive TMP consumer's guide to Black Panther figures, at least. Valuable for the archives.
