Friendy Fire incidents have happened since the time men found something to fire at someone else further than club range. I suspect being somewhere that the guy shooting a bow and arrow, smoothbore musket, 6pdr, rifle, howitzer, Gunship or attack aircraft munitions doesn't think a friendly is going to cause it. And don't think it's going to change. |

And have suggested in the past this should somehow be worked into games, but never have even myself used it. |

v1 Flames of War had a chance of your air support hitting your own troops. I miss that rule. All versions of flames hit everything under the template, so you need to be very careful dropping rounds in close support of your own troops. (Missed my own platoon by about 1/4", right before I was going to assault a position) Ambush Alley has 'Fog of War' cards that cause an air strike to either drop on the observer (ouch) or another unit of the opponent's choice. |

"Afghan Wedding Party Skirmish" A multi-player (up to 7 players)game.Sides: Groom's Tribe Bride's Tribe Rival Tribe The neighborhood AQ/Talban NATO Troops(see 200pg. ROE player's guide) Afghan Troops Pakistani Troops(for those games near the border) Let's see here
Groom player needs to bring cash (he's buying the wife). Bride's player brings food. Rival Tribe brings adult beverages. AQ/Taliban tries to take all that away (bloody fun police!). NATO troops didn't hear that there was a party, and are responding to neighbor's complaints of noise. Afghan/Pakistan troops are the ones complaining about noise but are outgunned (or are supporting the family in their partying). All players bring fireworks. |
