The finished Norman archers (unarmoured and armoured) ready for action.

More details of their progress – from castings to completion – on the blog at: themetalmountain.blogspot.com

Thanks for looking.

Olddorg.

Those are beautiful and I don't say that often. Those really look great. Downloading and printing as we type.

Beautiful paintjobs & a helluva a lot of them, but the only good Norman is a dead 'un in my book.

Beautiful! But why is everyone always trying to shoot arrows at me?!

I'm with Huscarle, all around!

(…And who knew he'd be biased?)

It's all fun and games until someone gets their eye gouged out with a stick!

Very nice work though.

Very nice, great painting style on all of your figures. Thanks for posting.

Nicely done – have been trying out the oil wipe on some horses. Using the newer oils that can be cleaned up with water. Taking at least 2 days to dry as it is cold and overcast here.

That is wonderful paint job on those miniatures.

Are the miniatures based for particular rules systems?

Thanks

Thanks for the comments.
Based on 'Crusader' miniatures rules – though on 40mm x 40mm they should be suitable for most! I put 3 archers per base to give the idea that they needed a little more room to manoeuvre.

Thanks again.

Beautiful work. But you have waaaay too many armored ones; now you must paint up three times as many unarmored as you've got so far….

For the Huscarls amongst you see my blog for some painted Saxon units (in the Archives)! It's not all Normans they are just the current project.

Re: the number of armoured figs – I'm simply painting all the figs I have to reduce the metal mountain hence the large unit. As I sell them the buyer can buy as many or few as he/she wants to suit their needs!!
