""AS SEEN ON TV"" Topic

I recently bought the following at my local Wal-Mart, which has an "As Seen on TV" section where the registers are located:

I have to say that I'm very impressed with it, which got me to thinking about a TMP Poll question. Has anyone here ever seen a "As Seen on TV" commercial and bought one of these types of products over the phone?

A) Once
B) More than once
C) Never have
D) No, but I've been curious about trying it just once
E) Don't have these kinds of products or advertising in my country

I'm D. If anything, I'd definitely like to order one of those countertop convection ovens that I've seen in those informercials, especially since I don't use my stove during the summer.

I'm F) Leery about buying some unknown fancy gadget.

Didn't Oxyclean start out as an "As Seen on TV" product? Or was the pitchman so obnoxious, I just assume it was?

My friend bought something similar recently and it works great.

The last thing I bought from the 'As Seen On TV' aisle was a reacher-grabber for my dad after he got out of the hospital… but he got well so fast he never took it out of the box.

Usaully a gag gift for christmas . Did buy a Foodsaver system when it was sold from Info mericals .

An even worse red flag is when they offer a second item for free, "Just pay seperate processing and handling". RED FLAG!

Or the ever popular "The next XX callers"

or "Allow X weeks for shipping", say what!?
