The 6mm GK minis are in test cast (US Gen Early, Valkyrie, Soviet G-27 as a start in both walking and driving modes) to see how well the details from a very fine 3D print translate into metal. The 1/285th scale Ratte is being remastered right now, and will be a mix of resin and metal. I would estimate that we'll be offering them in the Fall. |

6mm GK sounds like fun! Hope this works out. On a side note, I'd like to see those Italian and Soviet walkers in 15mm too. Picked up my first 28mm Valk a couple of weeks ago and am looking forward to the Roundhead and the Italian walkers in 28mm. |

I'm eagerly waiting for the Italian and Soviet walkers in 15mm, personally. Sorry guys, but I only game WW2 (and by extension, Weird War 2) in 15mm! |

Wow !! Certainly looking forward to the 6mm Ratte !!!! Please keep us informed !!! |

@lion, since we're doing 3D design we are scaling for multiple scales, so we hope to do the new designs in 15mm as well. The next walker to come out will be the 1/56th scale Japanese ShiKi, looking at this summer along with 28mm Japanese zombies. |

Less than two weeks to X-mas. Any word on the status of 6mm Gear Kreig? |

Sorry, I got tired of waiting and make some look-a-likes. Opted out of any tracks or wheels and need to add a few more details before I start on the Allies. Sorry for the bad pictures, operator problems not camera. Last picture has a Ratte I made some years ago based on the line drawings I found. If I did my math right I believe the thing might have floated. Imagine 4 or 5 of these being pushed right up to the English coast by some tugs :).

@Overkill: Nice scratchbuilds! Still more-or-less patiently waiting for 15mm Guts&Gears
hint, hint! |

Haven't had much time lately, but I didn't want anyone to think I forgot about the Allies (plus a few other things I wanted to try). Some are butt ugly, but look alright at 3 feet :). All are 6mm on 15mm x 15mm bases.
I only made these for my use only. I just wanted to see if I could make them and can't / won't sell them. When the real models hit the market these will be destroyed after I buy the replacements. (Hint, Hint). |

Why the heck would you destroy your scratchbuilds? Your work is good enough that you could probably field them side-by-side with the manufactured ones without anyone batting an eyelash! Buy the manufactured ones and fold them into the TOE

I agree whole heartly with Pattus Magnus on this issue. |

FYI. 3D High resolution printing has begun on the first two models The General Early in both walking and driving modes, and the Valkyrie in driving and walking modes. These models include separate turrets, and weapon options, even at this small scale. As soon as we have them in hand in two weeks, I'll post pictures before we go to the production molds. Brent |

@Overkill -- very impressive! Btw, the 6mm Ratte model as sculpted at present mounts x2 Wirbelwind mounts, and x2 secondary Panther turrets (in addition to the naval gun turret and forward 128mm gun). Would folks rather see secondary Maus turrets on their Ratte, instead of Panther turrets? |

I'm flattered that you're asking me this question, but I think you should ask the whole group. Judging by the quality of your work it will be fantastic. What I did was done in late 2007 when all I could find was a few line drawings. Except for the first shown here (for some strange reason it keeps showing up in the Google searches, one site lists is as an accurate representation). I found the original on a German gentleman's website. His is in 1/87th scale and has entire diorama built around it. I used the Maus turret because the drawing I found did not show where the 128mm was intended to go and it made for a good rear point defense :). SBminisguy, I have got to get sleep before I write on the forums. I realized that your BTW was to the group. I was looking at the picture below (my original) trying to figure where the quad 20mm would go when it hit me, what if I was wrong about the 128mm gun? The picture does not show the 20mms or the 128. What if the 128mm wasn't for antitank? What if it was supposed to be a 12.8 cm FlaK 40? It seems to me that it makes more sense, a heavy flak gun supported by the lighter quads. The 128 over the rear deck with the quads mounted on platforms off of the turret. The 128 started production in 1942 and would have been available. Just food for thought. @Overkill -- wow, someone actually scratchbuilt the P.1500 "Monster"? Very nice, that's on our list of vehicles to create in addition to the Ratte. I'm not sure where you'd put a Flak 128mm. That rear deck would be very difficult to mount on, the heat coming up through the deck grill from the massive diesel would be intense. In our version of the Ratte, the 128mm is mounted in the front hull, while the quad-20mms are in Wirblewind mounts on the rear turret. |
Overkill | 17 Apr 2013 7:59 p.m. PST |
I imagine you're right and I'm just over-thinking this. I had envisioned a platform raised high enough not to interfere with the air flow over the rear deck. The "Monster" on the white grid had a drawing showing drive shafts(?) running from the main hull to the tracks. I left them out after I realized it was impossible to do, and I wanted the tracks to turn after I did the model. Okay . . . before I eventually start, are you planning to do the SMK, T-100, or the KV-6? If so I'll just wait until yours come out and start on terrain boards (or the Tzar tank) (smile) |

So, bring on the minis so we can start gaming. |

Any news for more minis in ANY scale? |
green beanie | 13 May 2013 8:47 p.m. PST |
I started this thread 11 months ago and still no minis as yet. How about some up dates or am I waiting with false hopes of ever seeing these 6mm minis? |
