Wilkinsons usually carry a no nonsense clear polyurethane. I have never had any problems with it, they sometimes carry a satin as well

GW's isn't too bad. Or at least it wasn't. I'm still on one of the old beige-with-evil-sun-logo cans.

Humbrol's the only other spray varnish I haven't had problems with, although that was matt.

Both B & Q and Homebase, on the Dundee Kingsway.
Big cans and small cans, last time I looked.
Can't remember the makes.

Not only do we stock HMG's Matt aerosol varnish, (which has been highly rated by a number of people on this forum), but we also stock the Gloss version as well.
