Should ALL Dog-housing, and banning come to a TMP vote

Maybe a simple Yea or Nay

Bill can tell his side of the story, and the defendant or his lawyer (or just someone who plays one on the internet) can tell his.

Maybe even the duration of the ban or Dog-housing can be voted on.

That would liven the poll's, something with real consequences.

Votes are for Milk Drinkers! Bill is the only Law in BillLand.

To quote Lazarus Long –

"Democracy is based on the assumption that a million men are wiser than one man. How's that again? I missed something."

"Autocracy is based on the assumption that one man is wiser than a million men. Let's play that over again, too. Who decides?"

Angel Barracks09 Jun 2012 1:38 a.m. PST

No.
Let Bill decide.

For some, the answer would always be no. For others, the answer would always be yes. It isn't designed as a popularity contest.

In my first Poli Sci course the prof had weekly multiple choice quizs. After the test the class would vote on the answer, the highest vote getting being the winner. It was an eye opening experience that popularity does not equate to accuracy. I lost several points when I had the right answer but the class voted the other way.

So, my short answer would be NO

It is discipline that must be handed out by an authority or you will have anarchy. It is the Editors job and while he may be wrong from time to time it is his job . (he can have a small board to assist him in vetting any questions he may want advice on- but it is his lot)

No, popularity contests only tell you who is most popular and nothing more.

Not our sandbox. Let Bill run it as he sees fit.

Nec audiendi qui solent dicere, Vox populi, vox Dei, quum tumultuositas vulgi semper insaniae proxima sit.

Or if you prefer:And those people should not be listened to who keep saying the voice of the people is the voice of God, since the riotousness of the crowd is always very close to madness.

Willtij09 Jun 2012 8:52 a.m. PST

No. Let Bill run it.
