As a Flames of War player, how would you rate your level of participation on Battlefront's official FoW forum? On a scale of 0 (no participation) to 10 (it's your life). |

I'm not a FoW player, but I occasionally browse the forum. There are some tidbits in there that are applicable to any WW II gaming as well as wargaming in general. for me, a 2 Mike |

I'm a FoW customer more than a player, and I'm signed up on the forum
I participate as just a fraction over 0: I occasionally look at the galleries. Blogs are generally better than forums for that sort of thing but there are occasionally useful or inspiring contributions. The fact that it purges any non-Battlefront content is a barrier really

0.5 – I MIGHT follow a link, maybe. Or not. At best, I was a 5-6, back when I played v1 with a bunch of folks who preferred historical match-ups to tournament pickup games

2 Played FOW since 2004 Version 1.0. Rare option posted on site. But since I game WWII in 20mm, with scenarios not points, that limits me since they love BF 15mm models and even point match ups. No problem since it is their site. 20mm model details beats anything 15mm can produce, BF or other, even across a 6' table length. Larger scales are even better, but the selection is presently limited compared to 20mm. |

0 – used to post quite a lot back in the day (indeed I think I was member number fifty-something; pretty much there from the start), but got tired of them purging the "good stuff" as it were – depressing the number of genuinely interesting and insightful research threads that have been nuked over the years rather than treated as a resource. |

1. there are some really good modelling and organizational tips but the tenor lately has turned me off. They need a dawghouse. |

2-3 I check the temperature of the waters over there sometimes, there's good feedback on army lists (IMHO) and there's some info when a pack is OOP. I tend though to be drawn to other sites that are not linked to a manufacturer in particular. It seems the information is more fluid. |

Asking a group that primarily comes here is rather a loaded statistical sample. Are you sure you aren't working for one of the pollsters, Bill? I am signed up because I wanted to see some results of a tournament and I needed to be signed up on the forum. Also, I get emails about new releases and such. I am so behind the curb though, I still haven't gotten my paper copy of 3rd edition revised rules yet! |

Update
.. after the recent announcement that the forum is a service that BF provide as a reward to those who support them I have stopped posting or reading their forums. My collection is less than 50% Battlefront and some of my forces are entirely non BF so I presumably don't deserve to benefit from their generosity. |
| Shanhoplite | 17 Jul 2012 4:07 a.m. PST |
I'm on all the time. 10. In fact my local club uses the BF forums as the main clearing house for all activity, scheduling etc. It started out a FoW group, what can I say. Shan |

0. Haven't been there for so long I forgot my usercode and password. about 8 years ago or so some wit moderator there called Crazy Ivan used to censor practically every post I made, even if I said something innocuous like "hello". Got so bad I complained and got an apology of sorts – but a few weeks later the censoring started again so I stopped going. I still play 1st ed FoW with just the basic rulebook. Not a bad beer and chips game if you use a really big table that allows actual tactical movement to take place. |
