Anyone know of one or more good books on the geography of Flanders, specifically, from the military perspective vis a vis the rivers and canals?

I'm looking for English editions, but if it is in Dutch, that's fine as long as there's good maps to go with it.

Ideally, as I am a pauper, a public domain title, available as an ebook or downloadable file would be the best for my needs/budget.

There are the detailed Ferraris maps of Belgium, 1777 and the acccompanying PDF.

The legend is on page 10 of the pdf.

merci!

Alas, I need to brush up on my French!!

Nice maps. However, I am still looking for an English language commentary on the use of the waterways for military purposes in the 17th and 18th centuries.

So, if anyone can add that to the above links, that would be terrific.

It also has a lot of background information that is very useful for my purposes. Thank you!
