I've updated my blog with pics of a 7cm/2.5" plastic collectable Gundam Gashapon that I'll be using as a 15mm mecha.

This turned out really well. I've got a lot of these from my time in Japan and some of them would work well in 15mm or 6mm. I'll have to dig them out now.

Looks great. Kinda surprised more people aren't doing this though.

Very cool model and a great repaint, love the look of the whole little unit, its a great choice of green, what paint is it?

Paintjob is an undercoat of GW chaos black, basecoat of knarloc green, careful wash of devlan mud to fill in the areas where the knarloc green has obscured any detail, then a highlight of goblin green. Finished off with a very light drybrush of 50/50 graveyard earth and white to some areas, mostly lower legs and feet.

Ya gotta love the cheap Gundums. Pick them up from time to time at an asian market I deliver too. Now if we could just get some Robotech/Macross stuff in that scale and price point.

Really nice – and I'm now all of a sudden thinking about a Japanese themed-force! Can anyone give some pointers for finding similar figures? I know nothing about Gundam and just searching "Gundam Gashapon" on ebay got a whole bunch of results which didn't seem relevant.

I've added another Gundam gashapon to my blog – this time a Ball which I'm using as a heavy cargo loader for my (planned) spaceport.

I've received another delivery of Gundams from Hong Kong and started a "work in progress" on my blog for these.

Groovy!! Using Citadel paints, are you coating the figures or prepping them in any way? I've got a clear RX-79 that i need to paint up but I'm a bit worried that the flexible nature of the plastic won't allow the paint to take hold. Any advice on this?

wow …like what u did with that ball
very clever usage

Nice ball there. One thing I notice for these minis some of them need to be painted.
