I have a guy I paint for who is looking for a female gnome/Halfling type little folk mounted on a tiger or hunting cat. I think he would even accept a horse. Does any know know of any affordable minis of this type that are still in production? Thanks |

There is a halfling female dressed as a rogue or rangerish sort in a wide combat stance with a dagger. Either Grenadier or Reaper, IIRC. She could be used as a rider on a horse, riding dog, or appropriate cat. Finding the right cat is also tricky. Big cats are already uncommon in miniatures, especially compared to the options available for wolves. Finding one that could support a rider? Hmm. Edit: Not seeing the halfling at either Reaper or Mirliton, though there are a couple others at Reaper that might work. Alternately, the 15mm Ice Witches that are part of the Demonworld Ishtak line (see Ral Partha Europe) are basically angry female halflings when put next to 28mm humans. Reaper has a number of cats/tigers/etc. I know the Sabertooth Cat is just slightly large for a 1" grid, but might work on a diagonal (or use a round 25mm base so it doesn't matter), and I suspect the other big cats they have are either way too large to be D&D Mediums, or way too small for even a halfling to ride. |

I wasn't terribly impressed by most of the DDM halflings, and he did specify "in production". I got a good cross-section on Reaper by searching just for "halfling".
