Decided to jump in and order my first Shapeways models, managed to get them painted up in under 24 hours and do small review on their quality, packing and speed as well. The final result:

Thanks for the post – I have been looking at these for 15mm as well as 6mm Can I ask how big those round bases are? Also you mentioned 'rough to the touch' – is this visible and would it affect the cleaning (I have a tap and sink not a sonic cleaner )? TIA Andrew |

The bases are 40mm / 1.5 inch in diameter. The rough to the toutch is visible if you hover over it
.not a big deal on the gamestable. Just go over them with a soft brush first and then rinse em down in running water. I just use my sonic cleaner cause I have it and I'm a spoiled brat :) It was only the Water tower that was very dusty, but that mostly came from the inside. I don't think these would work very well with 15mm. You'd be better off with the Hornby one shown in the last pic on my blog, or use a skinnier (and cheaper and crappier) version from Auhagen >>

Wow, those look great! Would love to see some Chain Home Radar Antennae produced. Given these nice minis, looks like it might actually be possible, in either 1/600th, and/or 1/1200th scales. |

Good review. I've had my eye on those pylons for a while. |
