I have Steve Weston's Magnif 7 sets in glorious 54mm scale, and plan to run scenarios based on the 2 battles (especially the last one). I'm stuck when it comes to the buildings, however. Does anyone do the church and/or other suitable buildings? I realize I'm likely to get only "typical" Mexican buildings, but that's OK; the church is more distinctive, however. I also realize 54mm models would be too much to ask, but I figure I can either resize smaller scale versions, or build my own using the smaller models as inspiration. Thanks for any help you guys can give me. My other problem is that Steve's bag of the Magnificent 7 themselves comes with 2 of everything--understandable from a retail point of view, I guess, but not too useful. They are no longer made, though, so I'm hoping I can sell them to someone; 54mm isn't a tremendously popular scale for this sort of thing

Wish I could help you, but the Arnica Real Estate buildings are in scale for use with 28mm figures (and they're made of resin, so you can't rescale them easily). BTW: I am working on the church and other adobe building molds right now, so they will be ready for pre-sale around mid-June. |

Go to Ron Barzso's site and check out his 54 mm buildings. barzso.com Go to the Adobe buildings section and feast your eyes. Also good for the "Wild Bunch". Solid foam buildings that come pre painted. The Church is perfect and comes with a couple of wall sections. If you can find a Battle of Churibisco playset, it comes with all the buildings and all the trimmings. I cannot say enough about his excellent buildings and figures. You can get two different sets of Mexicans and all kinds of great accessories from Ron. Ron is a wonderful man and a pleasure to deal with. 54 mm figure collectors all have good things to say about him. While you are at his site check out the new Lexington and Concord playset for the AWI. |

I've been playing the same thing for a few years, and did sell my duplicate set of figures, they should go quick enough (as seen above). For buildings, I made my own, using the Kevin Dallimore plans/ideas as a guide – just double the size. The articles appeared in WI over a couple of issues. I also just managed to get a Conte Zulu playset with the chapel, and that will work in perfectly. |

Many thanks! I hadn't thought to check Barzso or the Conte sites. |

Too bad nobody makes Mag 7 figures in 28mm. Artizan looked like they were going to make the set, but to my knowledge they only did the "Chris" figure in a non-action pose. Rich Conte started the set in 54mm, but to date he only has sculpts for "Chris" and "Vin". They are beautiful. Much much better than Weston's toy-like Mag 7. The last time I spoke to Rich he told me that he was having trouble getting the rights to the likenesses of the 7 and the rights to the name "The Magnificent 7". As we all know, Conte is glacial with his releases, so I doubt that we will ever see them from that company. I hope that TSSD is successful with their "Tombstone" line of figures. Then maybe we can try to convince them to do the Mag 7. |

@The Shadow: here are a couple of not-Mag 7 sets in 25/28mm link and also at link in the bulk packs area |

Both nice packs – I like the Knuckleduster sculpts, even if they aren't as "hollywood" as i'd prefer. Pretty clear who is who and size wise they fit well with Artizan, etc. The second link is a set of perhaps more identifiable figs, but these are true 25mm (or possibly even "small" 25mm) figs. JJ |
