This comment came up on a previous stupid poll suggestion that I started. So I'm repeating it here because we really should get the answer to another stupid poll. That way we can cross-reference the responses and create a bell curve that will accurately display the standard deviation.

If Facebook can do it so can TMP right?

Should TMP offer an IPO so the Editor can retire in the lap of luxury?

1. YES
2. YES
3. YES
4. I don't know, don't ask me, I'm an idiot.

Theses are the only four choices available in this poll. You may choose a maximum of three.
Do not include any additional comments as they will simply be ignored anyway.

Please explain your answer(s)in proper four-paragraph memo format.

IPO?

Sundance30 May 2012 12:14 p.m. PST

Yes, of course, you can always find people who want to lose their shirts by investing in websites.

flicking wargamer30 May 2012 12:22 p.m. PST

Didn't this already happen? I have the certificates around here someplace.

Inane Post, Obviously.

ACWBill30 May 2012 1:02 p.m. PST

It would certainly do better than Facebook.

IPO = Initial Public Offering

ie.. Going Public and offering stock in the company.

John the Greater30 May 2012 2:04 p.m. PST

you can always find people who want to lose their shirts

Is that the "needs more boobies" option?

richarDISNEY30 May 2012 2:30 p.m. PST

Sure.
I'd buy a buck's worth.
beer

Grand Duke Natokina30 May 2012 3:03 p.m. PST

Don't do it, Bill!

Cardinal Hawkwood30 May 2012 3:44 p.m. PST

it wouldn't last a week, neither has face book

Mako1130 May 2012 4:09 p.m. PST

Absolutely, and get the guys that did the Facebook one to run it, since they've done such a bangup job.

25% loss from the initial buy-in, in about a week, if I recall correctly.

religon30 May 2012 5:55 p.m. PST

I think the SEC requires internet corporations to install a "Like" button before they are allowed to go public.

John the OFM30 May 2012 7:32 p.m. PST

I will just take all the money I made off Facebook and recycle it!

Oh, I geuss that means
YES
YES
YES

wrgmr130 May 2012 7:45 p.m. PST

Bill's house, Bill's rules, why would he want to go public?

SECURITY MINISTER CRITTER31 May 2012 6:58 a.m. PST

Then he would have to have a board of directors.

religon31 May 2012 11:14 a.m. PST

I would suggest Bill consider very carefully before going public. My mock-draft of likely BOD candidates follows…

Kyote Bluer than Blue
Kevin Trudeau
Connard Sage
Herman Cain
Grand Duke Natokina
Judge Judith Sheindlin
Security Minister Critter

Careful analysis has revealed that the following are necessary on every BOD…
(2-3) Likable, aging gentlemen more interested in booze & babes than business.
(1) Deeply Confused Person
(1) Bitter Critic
(1) CEO from another industry for "perspective"
(1) Cross-dresser
(1) Analytical Genius
(1) Texan with an over-sized hat

SECURITY MINISTER CRITTER01 Jun 2012 3:47 p.m. PST

Well I fit all but CEO from another industry. Pick me and you can fill Texan and Cross-dresser, as I will wear my kilt to Board meetings.

SECURITY MINISTER CRITTER01 Jun 2012 3:48 p.m. PST

and create a bell curve that will accurately display the standard deviation.

We are anything but standard deviants…

Aren't Hippo's dangerous?

Bashytubits04 Jun 2012 10:08 p.m. PST

IPO incredibly polarizing opinions.

Dasher09 Jun 2012 3:20 p.m. PST

Wye Ee Ess!
And ASAP, IMHO. FYI, a FAQ about this OTT subject, PDQ, would create a CTJ moment for anyone OTF about LT prospects for YE gains.
