I am pleased to see that TMP has remembered May 29 as the anniversary of the (editorial insertion: lamented) fall of Constantinople. A date that lives in infamy as unlucky, Black Tuesday among Hellenes and philhellenes. "The spider weaves the curtains in the palace of the Caesars; and the owl calls the watches in the towers of the City." And what's this trailer for -- anyone know? A new or recent or forthcoming film about the siege of Constantinople? Even from a partisan Turkish view, and with heaps of CGI, I'd be interested in seeing this. How, when, where? wn.com/istanbul_1453_trailer |

The cannon are part of the same film? As opposed to that massive bombard – the cannon looked like ships guns from the "Age of Sail". |

Watched it a month ago in a movie theater, in USA. Very good epic film. As good as any made in western countries. |
