What's your favourite bit of a western or american cop show.

I couldn't find my favourite bit.

YouTube link

warning my have a bleey bit at the end.

clint eastwood i'm the punk you've been looking

because he didn't have any shots left- because we're on nexus six at the moment.

Blade Runner all of that is total class- like Total Recall- both class films and detective stories so i think could in the cop catogry. Bat man sort of counts too

But the spegitti westerns have some brilliant stuff in them.

Clints a great hero.

For blest westerns I guess you almost have to go with Pale Rider.

Whew! Needs more spelling and grammar; parts of your post were damned hard to figure out.

Best Western bit: A little unusual, the one-take tracking and crane shot as Jill arrives at the station in "Once Upon a Time in the West."

Best cop bit: Car chase in "Bullitt."

Pale rider is such class- remember watching on the TV when a youngster :)

Like yesterday almost- think i've seen enough repeats.

Ain't seen Bullitt- good title :)

I really like Blue Collar, total class film.

My night feels like that

Any listening to NMA – no rest- which would go great as a soundtrack. then it will be Olivers Army -it's alwats good when the Btits are with the yanks – the civil war would have been over faster if we'd steped up to the mark- that would be an alright what if film, may be.

A western about Cromwells boys in the west indies- would that be a western- sounds like one to me.

ps- i sorry about the grammer- the Uk education system didn't always give me a great education- but it works for you- I hope. I do my best.

Clint is very good, in a number of them.

For a more modern take, it's hard to beat Justified.

Fill your hands with lead you sonofabitch!"

Best Western Movie: "High Noon"

Best Cop TV Show: "Hill Street Blues"

Best Detective TV Show: "Rockford Files" or "Sherlock Holmes, Starring Jeremy Brett"

YouTube link

Best Cop Movie: "Dirty Harry" or "Bullitt"

Don't know what the difference is between best and blest.

It is a well-established FACT that the best cop show ever to appear on American television was The Wire. Anybody tells you different, they're out of touch.

As for best westerns, there are several that I like. Lonesome Dove, High Noon, True Grit, Tombstone, and Open Range.

I'd have to go with Outlaw Josey Wales too (though Tombstones and True Grit [new one] are very close seconds).

Favorite cop movie is L.A. Confidential.

Rallynow30 May 2012 9:09 a.m. PST

The wire, saw it, got bored, stopped watching. So I guess I am out of touch.
