Hi all

I now have a squadron!

What rules would you suggest for these toys? I prefer beer and pretzels games and since my ships are not representative of a historic class , a simple construction system.

Really like the cruiser. How large are these ships?

KTravlos27 May 2012 5:38 p.m. PST

the battleships are about 5 inches long with 1.5 inches wide. The cruiser is about 5.5-6 inches long with less than an inch wide.

I am impressed. It sounds like from the measurements you gave that the models are more or less 1/1000th scale. A good job.

Thanks all. I am not really good at scales. I have been told that they range from 1/800 to 1/1000.

I tried to link to Phil's original page, but it seems to be unavailable at the moment.

and here's a previous thread discussing the rules.

I also thought of giving a try to Quik Fire rules. Anyway I still need to make about 12-14 ships

OK. So now I have an excuse for an ImagiNation project after all without tapping in to my overall gaming budget…evil grin

The Republic of Freedonia Navy's Grand Fleet versus the Royal Silvanian Navy's High Seas Fleet…. this is gonna get messy… Mwahahahaahahaaa!!evil grin

Yes. It makes good logic. The three ships cost me, excluding the price for paints and the Perry pikes I bought centuries ago, 3-4$ for the balsa wood. Old GW sprues make masts and viola!

My opponents will probably be Zenda

BlackWidowPilot Fezian28 May 2012 11:29 p.m. PST

Yup, definitely got my design styles in mind for the Freedonian Grand Fleet ships:
