Hi, long ago, I was at a museum in Urumqi, Xinjiang (China), and saw a scale model of a beacon or watch tower from the western end of the Great Wall. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to get a successful picture of it on film. However, I am wondering if anybody on TMP might have a picture of that model? The model was of a stand-alone tower, possibly inside a small enclosure, and represented rammed-earth (hang tu) construction. Thanks! |

I don't think this is it, but perhaps it is close? link

Thanks, they are close, but are not the model that I was thinking of. |
