I love his posts. Thanks for being here, Tango. Your a great guy.

GarrisonMiniatures27 May 2012 12:08 p.m. PST

Produces a lot of posts I wouldn't otherwise see, doesn't always credit his references and does often duplicate other people's efforts – but with the number of posts he puts out that may be only to be expected.

I would describe him as a definite benefit to TMP – keep it up.

Here's to Tango, for digging up interesting stuff & dredging through the nether parts of the internets so we don't have to! ;-)

I would like to thank my dear cousin for all his hard work bringing articles I would otherwise miss.

Thank you Armand.

Please, gentlemen spare your vitriol to those trolls who deserve them and not Tango01.

It is easy enough not to open links that don't interest you; it's certainly nothing to get upset about. He has found some real gems--stuff that I would never find. To me, he is very passionate about our little hobby and he likes to share what he finds. I fail to understand why his posts are an issue.

I have no issues with his links. If I don't like something he posts I find I can easily move on. Maybe I have thicker skin than others, but each to their own.

So a big "thumbs up" for Armand from me.

Marc, my friend, take note that this "three guys" had began here from 6/22/23 July of this year and he/they went directly to my neck only.
Clik on their profile and see what had they had wrote and to which threads.
Funny thing that one or "three" guys lost their time that way.
I'm proud to be so important! (big smile)

Looks like s few underbridge dwellers just showed up……

It's a bit Bleeped texting rich to accuse someone of 'sock-puppeting' and then create two extra accounts to back up your accusation of sock-puppeting…

Tango was a little bit much in the early days, as it sometimes appeared that he was taking credit for other people's work. However, he's not a native English speaker and I, along with most people here, put that down to be a genuine mistake allied to unbridled enthusiasm for his hobby. When he finds something interesting, he likes to tell others. What's wrong with that?

Yes, Tango sometimes comes up with old news, but 9 times out of 10 he comes up with something genuinely interesting that most of us hadn't seen before. He actually performs the genuine service of 'Hobby News' now that the TMP 'Hobby News' section is now simply one advert from a paying advertiser after another. He trawls 'tinterweb for random websites, so that we don't have to.

What is more, he was the main contributor to what was in my opinion, one of the most interesting TMP threads in recent years. It's always interesting to read the experiences of war veterans and Armand's recollections didn't disappoint; being interesting, shocking and occasionally horrifying: TMP link
