I accidentally stumbled on a way to make my own affordable and adjustable flight stands for my 20mm (1/72nd) games with aerial weapon assets (Helicopters, planes, and drones). link Also, this same technique will easily work, or modified for 15mm, 10mm, and possible smaller scales. (Not so much for the heavier 28mm (1/43rd) aircraft.) David G. |

Didn't realize the threading was the same
thanks! |

cloud, the threading isn't the same, as you have to drill out the hole larger. But because the 'plug' is plastic, you can make new grooves/threads with the screw from the camera tripod. -David G. |

Thanks! That is a great idea! I'll be trying that out. |

How stable is it? I tryed something similar and found it too easy to knock over. I ended up using old teliscoping antennas, like rabitt ears, on a flat base. |

Brilliant idea. It does less damage to your gaming terrain than if you use a solid block for a base. Dave |

You said the stand you got from Dollar Tree, but where did you get the extension rod from? |
