I am looking for high quality 28mm figures to respresent Moroccan fighters (TRIBAL?) around the 1700 era. Suggestions? sky |

I don't know if these would work for you, but how about these Barbary pirates from Pontoonier? link |

I like them! Are they true 28s? Anyone else? sky |

I have the Barbary Pirates and they are 28mm. I mix them with Foundry Darkest Africa Arabs and Baluchis. I also plan to mix in a few Moors from Artizan and Gripping Beast. Eureka also have Arab pirates that loook nice. All these lines are 28mm and fit together well |

I didn't know those Barbary Pirates existed. I've bookmarked that link. |

My Barbary pirates are supported by Janitsaries. North Africa after all was Ottoman-ruled. You can probably use your Moroccan fighters both with and against the Ottomans

After this thread reminded me I ordered those Newline Barabry pirates. Great price and only nine days to get to the US. They fit in well with my Eureka barbary pirates as well. |

Coincidentally I paid a last minute visit to this city's annual toy and hobby collectibles fair on Saturday with low expectations of finding anything useful (although several years ago I was very surprised to be able to expand my 20mm RCW collection thanks to a deceased estate). As it happens I chanced upon and purchased a most unusual plastic kit: a full size Moroccan damascened rifle! |

I should add that along with depicting an antique, the kit in question is itself an antique, dating as it does from 1970 – and still unbuilt! The brand BTW is Lifelike. The company apparently made a number of full-size antique firearms kits. |
