If you were building a Spartan army, what type of figures would you want to use? 1) Persian Wars period in bell cuirasses, Corinthian helmets 2) Peloponnesian War/Corinthian Wars period in lighter armor, pilos helmet 3) Hellenistic period as phalangites 4) Nude with thongs and capes a la "300" 5) Cloaked and Romanized a la "The 300 Spartans" |

1 and 2 which is what my Spartan army is made up of using mostly Foundry figures with a heavy emphasis on 2. |

2) for sure; I suspect I will end up doing one at some point, and it has to be the minimalist, more umm, spartan look

1&2, plus a few extra units as 4, just for laughs. |

Gotta be 1 in the spirit of "with this shield or on it" not those wimpy later boys. |

I like the look of 1 best. I have all but 4 in sufficient quantities to make an army. |
