Any 28mm flags made for the Danish regiments that fought at the battles of Wolgast and Dessau Bridge in 1626? Or any known pictures/ references of them?

Cheers.

I have come up against a pretty hard block finding information on Danish TYW flags. Maverick Models link has some on his website. I was having a discussion with him and we discovered that he had some flags already done that had a red field with a white cross in one corner which should be Danish. He sent me copies and based on the few descriptions I have found they at least look like Danish flags. The Danes were the first country to create something close to a national flag. Apparently there is a book in Danish that I have been unable to find that has some descriptions in it and possibly what regiments those flags went to. So there are some available from Maverick but we have no clue as to which regiments used them.

Unfortunately none of the 'Danish' flags used in those battles have been recorded. Some flags have been preserved either in Danish hands but mostly due to being captured by the Swedes in later wars. There are also hints to the colours used in the Danish archives which hold records concerning the silk cloth purchased and issued to the regiments.

TMP link has a bit. There is some confusion as to wether the "Red regiment" uniform was worn by the German Red regiment or by the native Danish regiment raised later.
