Hi everyone! I am fixing to make an army for Impetus based off the Yorkist forces at the battle of Tewkesbury (And maybe make their enemies afterwards). Because I have a deep love for flags, and will be making an army of about ~30 bases I would love to have the banners of some of the nobles who fought at Tewkesbury represented. The idea is to put them leading some of the Retinue Billmen/Dismounted men at arms or likely the Mounted Men at Arms Ed put in the trees. I know about Gloucester, King Edward and Hastings, and plan to include the Burgundy standard for the mercenaries that I think served in Gloucester's battle, but other then those I have no idea about any other nobles who fought at Tewkesbury on the Yorkist side. Any help would be great, and if you happen to know which of the Yorkist Battles they were in at Tewkesbury that would be even better. Thanks everyone for your help on this! |

and plan to include the Burgundy standard for the mercenaries I doubt that Burgundian mercenaries would have fought under their national flag. That would have been construed as overt Burgundian support for the Yorkists. They were just swords for hire and if they had a banner at all would have been that of their leader. Lancastrians: Somerset, Devon, Wenlock, Langstrother, Courtenay Yorkists: Clarence (although not exercising any command), Hastings, Howard, Sir Humphrey Harcourt (commanding the "200 spears") |

Das Sheep, as Martin states. Im doing the battle of Mortimers Cross right now but Tewkesbury is next for me. The Freezywater publications have everything you need. The good news is all the knights at Tewkesbury are the same as Barnet si you will already have the forces for two battles! |
