I painted up a unit of Wargames Factory's plastic ashigaru, and thought I'd write a short review of them:

Flawless alternative for the big army collector, or featureless sludge that heralds the end times? Read and find out! :)

Very nice looking unit, love the backbanners you seem to get tons of in Japenese armies, think I'll have to nick some for my sci-fi stuff.

Now it's working! Hooray!

Nice review, the minis look pretty decent. Might get some to bolster the Perry metals in the collection…

Yeah, looks like Perry Samurai and WF Ashigaru for the later periods with a bajillion ashigaru on the table.

Hey, these are pretty good. I can't say I know much yet about ashigaru units in late Sengoku, but they look the part, based on the Japanese-made samurai films I've seen.

Though I no longer wish to game in 28mm, I might acquire some of these just to paint up. Thanks for taking the time to make a review!

Great paint job on more horrible sculpts from WF. It's as if they are using minis from the 1970s.

I don't think the assertion that 'smudging' is due to the nature of plastic casting as neither the Perrys or GB plastics suffer from this issue. WF just produce nasty figures and they are not even cheap enough to justify it!
