Thanks for your comments everyone. My first impression of the system is a good. Most importantly we all enjoyed the game which lasted approximately six hours; the mechanisms were easy to learn and the rules themselves are clear enough on all the important points. As far as I am able to tell within my limited experience of actual pike & shotte warfare they handle the niceties of combat between the various elements very well and until Messrs Wallenstein & Adolphus turn up and laugh at me I will stand by that statement. Thanks for the report – I was ordering them from Amazon, until they e-mailed us all to say they wouldn't have them! Got to pick up a set soonish and dust off my old TYW armies from back out of the loft. |

This looks majorly impressive. I'm having certain reservations against playing TYW in 28mm (just my personal preference) but at this scale it looks beautiful. :) |
