For you Old West guys . . . Are there any 15mm with an Old West feel that could be easily enlisted as SF colonists (like those seen in Firefly and elsewhere)? I imagine that there are some specific 15mm Old West figures (civilians and others) you guys could recommend for use in Space Westerns, aren't there? YouTube link YouTube link More vids here: YouTube link YouTube link YouTube link I guess all I need is an additional 15-20 figures (men, women and some children?). The less the conversion work necessary the better. I think the SF ones from Ground Zero Games and Splintered Light Miniatures* average about 17mm tall or so. So it would be appreciated if the Old West figures suggested where on the tall side of 15mm. Thanks so much, Dan TMP link TMP link * And, in case you were wondering, I already have the GZG and SLI space crews, as well as the GZG armed civilians/colonists: link link link link link |

Would love to see photos of what you actually do with all these requests you throw out ;) I've been eyeing the Old West townsfolk and the African Villagers link and thinking about how I could paint them up as exotic SfiFi humanoids (and general crowd folk).

I bought a good chunk of PeterPigs old west line for use in SF. Plus selections out of the AK-47 and Vietnam lines. |

Would love to see photos of what you actually do with all these requests you throw out ;) He's like a clearing house of ideas. Maybe he's actually an advanced 'bot, pioneered by the secret gaming cabal, to churn out new ideas to get us gamers interested and buying minis we wouldn't have thought of otherwise. |

If you look at some of the pictures he's posted, he still somehow finds the time to make terrain and paint miniatures. I suspect he had a supplemental AI implanted in his brain to help with the multitasking. |

I know he keeps my brain working. Of course, the list of projects gets longer just about everytime he posts. Wouldn't be so bad but he's so bloody through in his research. All those pictures and links sends the creative side of me into a dizzy. Just wouldn't be the same without you my man. |

Of course, places like Eavesdown Docks (on Persephone) didn't have an Old West look at all:
In contrast, the settlements in the Outer Planets had a definite Old West look about them:

I wonder what the typical stages were in the development of an Old West frontier town: TMP link Dan |
