Porridge.

When it goes cold it solidifies & you can cut it into slices.

When I was a wee'un, a splash of warm milk (literally straight from the coo) would liquefy it.

I'm not much into cold cereal but I prefer the stuff that isn't very sweet… Grape Nuts, Kashi, Cheerios.

Müesli (which I eat while reading the Guardian and wishing I lived in London not Atlanta).

John the OFM15 May 2012 7:29 p.m. PST

I used to love Post Oat Flakes. sadly, they are OOP.

Scott Kursk16 May 2012 10:47 p.m. PST

Weetabix which are actually able to be found now without having to troll the ethnic food aisle. Seriously, that stuff used to be really hard to find.

Homemade müesli since it's cheaper and it has exactly what I want.

Given up for good17 May 2012 1:33 p.m. PST

If you take out those ones with a large amount of salt or sugar it leaves me with the cardboard boxes!

If I have to select Weetabix but they are now all flaky rather than the smooth ones of old.
