Everything was looking fine on this H&R 1/300 F 18 until I sprayed several light gloss coats with Rustoleum Crystal Clear Enamel in preparation for washing and decals and now it looks like it flew through a hailstorm.
I'm thinking it is time for the Simple Green wash rack

How humid was it? Rain in the air? Wait for a warm day and respray before you go all out and strip it. |

Perhaps the pilot has just experienced a bad case of icing. As SMC1 says, give it another go, and make sure the can is vigorously shaken for at least a full minute, before spraying. Good luck to both you, and that pilot! |

It's a sparkly vampire F-18. The ideal weapon if your carrier group is attacked by a horde of pre-teen girls. |

It's a sparkly vampire F-18. The ideal weapon if your carrier group is attacked by a horde of pre-teen girls. You sir, are just not right
not at all. What is even more disturbing to me is that I understood your reference
now I'm sad. |

It was saved by a couple of brush coats of acrylic gloss varnish. After adding decals and some dullcoat, I think it is ready for deployment.
