I would use Copplestone's Cave Bears. If they look angry, it is because the tips were lousy.

I use a bear from the Italeri 1/72 Gladiators set alongside my 15mm figures and it looks good size-wise (it's quite small next to the rest of the figures in the set). It also looks like it's dancing (possibly to YMCA):
