I just received a load of pictures from Richard Ansell showing his latest creations for the Fife & Drum AWI range: artillery crews for the Continentals and British. There will be two sets of four figures for each army: loading set and firing set. I expect that these figures will be in production in June 2012. Artillery equipment is also being worked on at this moment and should arrive soon.

And we have the Continentals as well:

STOP THAT FRITZ!!!!!!

Just when I thought I was done getting artillerists…

I hope you are giving some of them sponges or rammers. Do they do that barehanded?

I think you did some clever editing…
Two can play that game, so watch yourself!

Very nice sets DAF.

Maybe the sets could benefit from different heads (bandaged, bare etc..), but of course that can be sorted with some minor surgery and putty.

Great figures.

We are considering making several sprues of heads with different headgear (caps, brimmed hats, hats turned up on one side, tricorns, bare headed etc) in our next release. So good idea! thumbs up

Nice looking figures DAF. What guns are you going to produce for them to man?

F&D artillery equipment will initially include British 3pd and 6pd guns; Swedish 4pd, French 4pd Valliere and a 4pd galloper gun, limbers and horse teams, and an amusette for the British artillery contingent.

That sounds great. Looks like I will be adding more artillery and crews to my AWI forces.

Very very nice. I definitely like the concept you have gone for DAF. I like the fact the firing crews have their mouths open and hands over their ears.

Amusettes, eh? I started a new thread on them. They sound like fun. Amusing, even!
They should come with jaeger crews, methinks.

@JOFM: The British 3 pd guns in theory had a device consisting of a wooden mantlet and a 1-pound gun on a tripod. One was posted on each side of the field gun to protect the crew. They would be manned by RA personel, methinks, according to Carauna. I doubt that they were ever used in the field, but the idea is, ahem, amusing. So I decided to add them to the Fife & Drum range.

@Thomas Mante: I'm glad that you noticed that little feature on the firing crew evil grin. I think that I might have picked up that idea on TMP awhile ago.
