Has anyone here gamed any 15mm Post Apocalyptic desert war over water resources?

If so, what figures did you use? What terrain did you make or buy?

Not sure if you've heard of or seen it, but you might love the old 80's martial arts, sci-fi anime Fist of the North Star. It's a post apocalypse setting very similar to what you are describing, so it might be cool for inspiration.

This video does a pretty good job of giving a general back story summary:

As far as general gaming tips go a "no water" terrain board should be easy as cake, you can just use a generic desert terrain board and place some buildings, rocks, ect and for figures I'd think almost anything could work if its either in desert style clothes or has a desert camo pattern on it.

Described as "Mad Max with Swords", Steel Dawn starring Patrick Swayze has a few interesting ideas. The terrain is desert with rocky outcrops (another use for aquarium scenery) and at least one grounded ship to emphasise the lack of water, most characters live in tents and shanties with some in caves, and most are desert robed with occasional pre-fall bits as ornaments. Swayze himself is from a martial order trained in fighting with swords. Sand yachts/racers fit in well. Water is stored underground (similar to Dune)so cave entrances become important strategic objectives.

I think these guys from Rebel Minis would go great in a desert world:

Sundance: one of my first thoughts was the Sahadeen. Another good one (though larger scale!) are the Sanwar.

Sanwar?

Who makes those?

Thanks,

Dan

Ironclad, I think.

Based on the price, I would guess they are 28mm.

Ouch. That's right. Man, you've just burst my bubble!!!

Are you the evil uncle that tells little kids that Santa and the Easter Bunny aren't real, even though the parents think the kids aren't ready for such enlightenment? :)
