By jove! The transfer is upside down. Perhaps it could be corrected some how. Maybe twist it round.

Nice tuition. This is of interest. Thanks

I would paint the shield a solid color, then put another transfer on top of it.

One of the problems with using decals rather than painting the figures. I'd have thought the shield could be detached and turned the other way up.

The shields in the group photos seem to be OK – so it just looks like poor attention to detail in this individual case.

As a thought experiment, I translated a portion of this very good paint guide into the new Citadel paint colors…

Red parts:
1- Base coat with Mephiston Red.
2- Agrax Earthshade wash.
3- A mix of Mephiston Red and Evil Sunz Scarlet without cover all the base coat.
4- A final highlight adding Tau Light Ochre to the Mephiston Red and Evil Sunz Scarlet mix.

All Tango needs to do is wait. As much as I like Warlord Games' Romans their shields tend to pop off on my when handling the miniature.

Nice job. Most people tend to paint form the "inside out" doing flesh first, etc. What is your rationale for doing flesh later on?

Good work!
