I have Locked the account and blocked the IP address of Savlon, who may or may not be a previously banned individual, for his many violations of forum rules. (He also had the annoying habit of PMing me with insults about my religion… what kind of person does that?)

I have also Locked the account of XV Brigada, who recently felt impelled to declare this was a forum of people with mental problems. I'm sure he will be happier elsewhere.

Well to be fair, I am a member and I have metal problems.

The pile is very big and just keeps on growing!

Never heard of Savlon … he must have frequented other boards.

I did know XV, and though I often disagreed with him, I felt he was usually quite fair. I never even saw the post where he apparently took the Hof approach of accusing people of mental problems. If he did so, it must have been a oncer, surely?

I don't know savlon, and my one recent experience with XV Brigada had to do with someone asking about 28mm figs suitable for the peninsula. Brigada's advice was attach a color plate of infantry, tell the OP to use Google and to find something that looks like "these." Really? How is that helpful. No wonder people don't get into historicals (especially something that can be as complicated as Naps), when some folks treat you like an idiot and state or imply that it is too much trouble to help you out.

Maybe the inmates should be just kept in the asylum (Rubber Room Board) and not allowed out to the rest of the boards.

Savlon's previous name on the current account was "Anti Septic." Haven't been able to match his IP address to other accounts, but by his behavior, he's been on TMP before.

I would assume 'anti-septic' means 'anti-American'.

This assumption is based on rhyming slang for Yank= septic tank.

If so, this could well be dave hollins who is quite virulent. On the other hand I don't think Savlon appeared on the Naps boards.

He WILL be back, whoever it was. I never quite see the point of banning people.

It was mentioned here ages ago, I don't recall who or how nor precisely when but his knowledge of it lends credence to Savlon not being a new member.

I cannot seem to remember seeing a post from either one of them…

I wqould expect if it was Dave Hollins he would have been on the Naps Boards making some comments. I didn't notice this Savlon there and he seems to be Australian,. I don't think Dave Hollins is. He obviously wanted to be banned.
