There were some serious "eye candy" games at the Hilton this past weekend. The folks GM'ing and the folks playing were awesome and made the whole trip (trip, I drove 23 miles) worth it. Throw in the sweet deals from the vendors (I gave them all money) and the venue (thanks North Raleigh Hilton) and the total of the weekend was amazing. And not to forget the TSS folks and the people that donated to an awesome raffle (I WON SOMETHING!!!!!) and I'll be in for the Fall event for sure. |

Here are three Friday afternoon games that some may have missed. The pictures best represent the game I was involved in. link Apologies for the photos. I snapped them while playing on a tight schedule. Many could have been better framed, but the table was crowded. A big thanks to LostPict for supplying terrain. Only he could produce a pick-up game of such quality. LOTR SBG proved very popular over the weekend. In addition to these 3 games, two Saturday games
western gunfight and Robin Hood
were held using derivative or variant rules. After repeated requests from players for additional LOTR gaming, two interrelated games were presented on short notice Sunday. I'll write up a little AAR when I have a bit more time as one of the two games involved my children and a young friend. Great con! (The other games I played were great also. I decided to part with a little cash this year for the fabulous raffle prizes and won a couple of cool things including a BattleTech Mech lance painted by the one-and-only Mike Tyson.) |
