Who was the greatest military leader of the Apache Indians?

* Cochise
* Geronimo
* Ulzana
* Mangas Colorados
* Chihauhau
* Nana
* Naiche

Mangas Coloradas was the greatest because he was respected for mostly the whole Apache tribes.
He tried peace, but without results (ending in his murder).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but IIRC Geronimo was not a chief. He was a great war leader, though.

I think Geronimo was actually a medicine man.

Geronimo was never a chief, he was a medicine man and a leader of warriors but was never a leader of a tribe, which is what is chief is.

The best at guerilla fighting would have to be Nana. His campaign was brilliant and he was what, over 70 at the time.

Cochise (he even has a county named after him)

Geronimo led very small bands of raiders and became famous because of his refusal to submit.

Geronimo was not a chief, war leader or medicine man. He claimed to be a medicine man but hadn't recovered any training as one and generally wasn't acknowledged as one by most Apache.

Geronimo submitted many times and went to one of the reservations but then ended up in trouble, usually by getting drunk and fighting, and then convincing a few followers to make a break for Mexico to avoid punishment.
