In your area, how is this game from Wyrd Miniatures doing – growing, shrinking, or about the same? Seems to be growing by word-of-mouth locally

Excitement for Malifaux at Adepticon was as good or greater than last year. 30-40 players seem to be on the Malifaux tables all weekend long. Wyrd handed out the Malifaux mini-rule book in the convention bag (1000 copies) – I would think that will get the attract a few more converts. |

It is modern John you wouldn't be interested. |

The local, "official gaming club," apparently rocks Malifaux whenever and wherever they can. I'm not a member, but when I went to one of their weekend events at my LGS to try out some different games members were hosting; out of ten game tables, seven were hosting Malifaux games while I was there. |

Going by the situation at the situation at the FLGS, it's growing slowly but sees very little in-store play. Definitely spreading mostly through word of mouth. It gets played with proxies a lot – probably due to the high cost of many figs, the limited number of sculpts for some of the things you might field lots of (gaki, for ex), and some rather dodgy sculpts (mostly in terms of fragility). Probably be spreading much faster if they had an organized play program running ala Privateer. Gave up on it myself not too long back, but could be drawn back in if circumstances that allowed me to play regularly again arose. Unlike many of my ex-games I have fond memories of it, in part because I made a quite good profit when I sold off my painted Neverborn and Outcasts. I take it Wyrd isn't advertising here these days? Seems like I've seen several release waves that never hit the news on TMP, including those cutesy Easter specials. |

I take it Wyrd isn't advertising here these days? They said they wanted to take a hiatus and come up with new advertising banners. |

Doing well at the local FLGS. Haven't tried it, but I have a few of the figures. |

The local FLGS had a few packs before they went under. I never saw anyone play it. I was at the local comic book store last week and didn't notice any figs (they sell a lot of the clicky superheroes and D&D figs), but I wasn't looking for them. |

I have never seen a game of it in action at my local club ( Western Suburbs Melbourne ), despite more than a few members having fully painted gangs in thier collection. Its just never really surfaced down here although i reckon there would be some would like to give it a go. cheers Tom |

Locally it is growing here. |

It seems to have a decent presence at one of the four local stores but I haven't actually seen it played there. They were running demos of it at Cold Wars. |

It got some play around here over the summer (prompting me to get an Arcanist crew) but then went into hibernation. |

Grew for a while, took a nose dive when balance issues surfaced, now seems to be reviving as they have fixed/FAX some of the issues. I really enjoyed the game when we started, but it really takes a devoted soul to learn your own crew and faction, but also everyone else's to play effectively. If I was young and had time, I'd be all over the game, but alas, time is not on my side anymore and rules that require hours of digging through to find combinations of traits and hours of reading forums to find the latest twists to be competitive, just don't fit my schedule. Don't get me wrong, its a pretty good game. Skipper |

Malifaux is just starting to take off here in Mexico City. Many people are more interested in collecting/painting the miniatures than in playing the game. Yet, I can guess general interest in the game will start to grow even more in a near future. |

Seems to be booming here. |

It's pretty popular around here. Almost the new Privateer. (Since Privateer is the new GW, of course.) The rules are fascinating, I love the drawing hands mechanics. But the game is pretty focused on working on combos between the models on your team, which means keeping up with the rules for all your figs, plus all your enemies' figs, and the new releases, and etc. A bit too much for me. |

LGS has a wall of stuff and there is a league set up.

Pretty big here. After 40k it is the most played game. Love the rules, I think they are some of the best rule set I have played. But a lot of the minis are so gosh darn ugly (not in that good way). |

Here in my neck of the woods it's the eternal problem that keeps a lot of smaller games from being played: Everyone has seen it, and everyone wants to try it, but no one wants to take the plunge and buy rules, figures etc. first. |
