Legends of the High Seas works if you want to work the Pirate angle. Limeys and Slimies would also work. |

I have used several rule sets with the ships. We ran a fatastic battle a few weeks ago using Legends of hte High Seas and two of the British 10- Gun Brigs. We played with both the ship to ship and skirmish part of the rules using gangs of about 1500pts. hat put about 15-20 models per side – enough to man the guns and rigging and get a really fun result. CUTLASS! is another really fun rules set if the ship is really just serving a scenery as it does not cover ship to ship action. A scenario with the ship tied up in port makes perfect sense
or just start with two ships that have already grappled. I have also used CAPITAN Minitures rule set: Master and Commnader. It is really designed for Frigates and above, but we had a sucessful run of it with the WASP. It does require a bit of interpretation to match the model up with the "Deck Boards" used in that rules set. But the rules are free
which is always an enticing starting point. Hope that helps. Matt Laser Dream Works |
