Barring the Life Guards I'm not sure if we know what the Jacobite Cavalry standards looked like.

Check out the League of Augsburg site there might be something there.

Here's a thought its quite possible that the men who raised the regiments used their own coat of arms perhaps with a cross patee to indicate alegiance.

Most if not all Irish heraldry is on line so it should be possible to find the right coat of arms impose a cross pattee in the top right canton an voila you have a plausible if conjectural flag.

The lifeguards flag btw is the royal standard.

ok .cheers for the lifeguards.
that sounds like a reasonable idea.
cheers again

FOW- COME ON DO SOME STANDARDS THEN!!!!
ive got some of your other ones on order and the Kirks lambs standards are excellent.they are already gracing my boys:)
you know you want to.
OB yes no prob when i get round to it,just about to start the jacobite cav n generals.
as for "good guys" i suppose its all relative…as long as they fight well and give Davy a bit of a hammering thats what its all about..
come on FOW pleeeeease

What scale are you wanting them for ? I did them for 10mm figures but my drawings will probably scale up a bit.

I have done a few that are conjectural from some limited notes a mate gave me. I think they came from an old wargames mag originally. I did Tyrconnel, E of Westmeath, Galmoy, Lutterel & Russell.

I've been making a few generic Jacobite cavalry flags, hopefully I'll get them posted on my blog soon.

Gotta second that Ray's flags have caused me to revitalise my Williamite Wars collection and complete my Flodden one. A top contributor to the hobby indeed.

Why thank you chaps!
Being as I'm now painting up some Jacobites for the Boyne myself, I have been making flags for some of their cavalry regts, of course they're all conjectural and won't be to everyone's taste! I'll post some up on my blog in the coming weeks.
