Guys, I'm watching an Irish-made film called "Isolation" (2005). I'm about half way or so, so anything different can develop between now and the end. The weather and the muddy Irish cattle farm really adds to the creepyness.

I don't know about you guys, but having a few small alien creatures showing up when you least expected and disappearing into small areas seems a bit creepier than one or two man-sized monsters.

So, what small (5-10mm max) SF, Horror or Fantasy critters would you use if you were gaming an infestation of ravenous little creatures in 15mm? Preferably no taller than knee-high or so to a 15mm human.

Conversion ideas welcome too!

Thanks,

Dan
PS. I seem to remember some 10mm (or smaller?) metal Xenomorph or Tyranid looking creatures, but can't think of what they were.
EDIT: Those were the Bio Aliens (Skyth Vampire Beasts), for 6mm gaming, from Dark Realm (?)

Doesn't Pendraken make 10mm Sci-Fi critters?

Cacique Caribe14 Apr 2012 9:46 p.m. PST

Any specific ones come to mind?

Didn't Angel Barracks just release some 6mm aliens?

WOW!!!

Those "Razor Hounds look absolutely awesome! Are you sure they're 6mm?

And the "Jurapeds" look cool too, though I would probably take a tiny bit of Green Stuff and put some fangs on them:

PS. And, who knows? If trained right, they might actually make nice pets:

I would love for someone to make a couple of poses of something like this, perhaps about 5-7mm tall:

Wouldn't that be awesome!

Khurasan makes these little ravenous aliens:

Ever thought of Dark Realm.

These tiny alien type things would stand about knee high in 15mm. you get loads for your money.

check out the others on the page too.

Take a look at the various fantasy ranges too. I'e got some lizardmen from Magister Militum that come with 'pet lizards'. Not painted up yet so no pix. Their 10mm ranges might have some suitable stuff too.

You know, in the last couple of years I've focused so much on MM's 15mm ranges that I've completely overlooked their 10mm stuff.

Time for me to check it out.

Thanks!!!

Well, these go on the list. The last ones look like they should be clustering in burrows in the open fields of Valtera Majoris or something being preyed on by the second one.

the tops beast looks like one of those things you don't want to startle in the equipment shed.

I was already going to get those angel barracks minis on Saturday at Salute.

No worries Dan, they do work quite well with 15mm as pet types creatures!

I am not at Salute arngrimson.
You will have to mail order and wait for the postman, sorry!

I could of swarn that I saw Angel Barracks in the traders list for salute???

Ah well I'll just have to order after Salute.

I need to find the crab swarm I sculpted a while back. It's nothing I'd release, because it is early work and a bit unfinished, but it was a fun way to use leftover blobs of putty.

I'll try to get something posted this weekend.

I did also experiement with some 2mm creature sculpts to go with my 2mm army of Martians for Land Ironclads.
