We have finished to paint the 10mm US troops for the Belleau Wood scenario for panzer8 rules. In Part III we' ll paint the German infantry. For the USMC we have used the same colour of the infantry, similar to the British uniform, adding several washings. You can read all the painting method on our blog at this link: link Here are some pictures:

Hopefully there's a fig of Gunny Dan Daly in there, echoing the words of Frederick the Great at Leuthen, though with more "colorful metaphor". |

Hello
as the author of the Pz8 rules, I follow your step-by-step report really interesting
If you like, join the Pz8 Yahoogroups link to keep us informed about the work in progress, and be updated about other 2-pages rules (there are a couple of new sets being playtested in these weeks) |

Good luck
as author of the Osprey book, I think it would make a series of great skirmish scenario
I've put on Les Mares Farm in 28mm. Just a small painting note
at this point many Marines still retained a portion of their forest green uniforms, particularly officers. Also, as the battle progressed beyond June 6th many replacements were incorporated into units and they had been issued the full forest green uniform. db |

Nice figures. There are some photos of Belleau Wood here. The terrain boards are based on WW1 contour maps. Buildings are GHQ. Figures are 6mm Irregular Miniatures. The scenario is based on the first phase of the battle. link Robert |

Deserter: done! pancerni2: thanks. At present we use 10mm for the western front and 20mm for the Lawrence' s Revolt
You' re right for the uniforms but we have preferred to paint the USMC with Army uniforms to use for late 1918 scenarios. However the last batch of USMC miniatures will be in forest green, part V that we will post on our blog. monk2002uk: thanks and by the way when will Great War Spearhead be available? And Happy Wargaming to All! Marzio. |
