do you have any? That is, rules for a game that you have purchased but have not played. I suppose a "not really" reply would be appropriate if you are have serious preparations (not intent or philosophical musings) underway to play a new set you have bought recently. As for me
unfortunately
yes. :( |

Kreigkunst and the Fear God and Dread Naught family of games jump to mind. |

You buy games to play them . . . . . I knew I was doing something wrong. I read a lot of them, but playing is rare due to time constraints these days . . . . Jeff |

No – not really
I'm pretty good at making sure I get some credible trial games of almost everything that comes my way (certainly everything I'm sufficiently interested in to purchase)
Some things then get ignored because the game fails to tick enough boxes (but seldom just through withering unplayed) |

Nope. Those that I don't play, I sell to someone else. |

Yep, about half the collection, in fact. I've read them all, but many never make it past that first contact. |

I have a few. My most recent purchase was "Nuts", even though no one in my group (myself included) does WW II. |

Many! Too many to count. I am a rules junkie and read over them several times but play them only from time to time. Most are used to tweek my own rules. VR James Mattes |

I buy rulesets and read them just for their perspective and good ideas. Typically, I won't even have an intent to play them. pjm |

I have lots I have bought but not played. But I started working my way through a lot of the Ancient rules a few years ago. So far I have done 13 rulesets I have not played before. I plan of doing at least another 10-15 Ancient rules over the next few years. That will still leave lots of non-ancients (and some ancients) unplayed. I buy them to read them. I love reading rules. But I also feel sorry for them – they call to me at night "play me play me" (in a high squeaky voice as per The end of The Fly). Rules were written to be played, so I hope to eventually play a lot of the ones I've acquired. |
