Check out the grid system this fella used, to make sure all the levels lined up. Does that look cool or what? And such a simple concept too:

I wish I could read German(?) so I could see if he had a tutorial somewhere.

Now imagine that technique (the grid line-up) applied to make your own multi-level terrain pieces for SF, Horror, Fantasy, Apocalyptic, and for so many genres.

There are about 7 pages of work to go through.
My head just about exploded when I saw he made books to go in the bookshelves.

OMG. That is incredible.

How did you find that?

Man, I knew I should've taken German in school. I have no idea what they're exhanging in their posts. But I'm so glad I can see lots more pics of that amazing project.

Thanks so much!

Impressive. Books looke great. Wonder how he made them.

Dan,

You need to use the Google Chrome browser for translation. At the touch of a button, Chrome automatically translates the page. Apparently, Chrome notices web sites that differ from your default language. I find that this is a very easy and convenient tool.

The detail in some of the details is amazing (yes, I know that sounds ridiculous but you know it's true!)--the rust on the pipes and brace plates for the wooden support beams…the roots sticking out of the mound of dirt…

LOVE the treatment of the ceiling above the library-type section.

Really great work here.

Of course it took alot of work but as he says in the 4th paragraph.

"This structure provokes me enormously"

Love them, the hive tower is so simple and so awesome.

@CC: The clear platforms are most likely acrylic glass. It's usually available from local craft or home improvement stores. The ones in the image seems to be of the 4mm thick variety, but they usually come in thinner and thicker versions as well.

I can see I'll have to switch out the clear shower curtain for a more solid color one!!
