apart from the sidecap (and the Schmeisser) the WWII crew with the KAR98 could be passable with a Feldmutz headswap
a Uboat depends how much detail you want. A surfaced waterline ship would be the conning tower would be fairly easy to do. The deck gun could be sourced from somewhere. The osprey New Vanguard U-boats of the Kaisers Navy is a good source to start. Don't neglect (my favourite) The Imperial German Naval Airservice. FF33 used on the SMS Wolf commerce raider. |

These days I'm more interested in figures for the crew, than I am of getting a waterline version of a U-boat. I figure that most of the fun will take place once the crew is on land. Dan |

I sense dinosaurs & Neandrathals in the future for these U-boat crew members! |

The folks at Khurasan were going to do a set for their Mysti Island theme. Last I heard, they were seeking good info on the German Navy uniforms to make authentic-looking sculpts. Don't know if the idea was dropped or just tabled to work on 15mm sci-fi. Maybe you could ask them? Otherwise, I don't believe anyone makes WW1 German sailors. |

So, would you say that Khurasan is the last, best hope for a WW1 German U-Boat crew? TMP link Dan |

"I figure that most of the fun will take place once the crew is on land." In the nightclubs?? You obviously haven't been on a sub 7 days out to sea. |

I wish I could see the detail here more clearly: link And it doesn't look to have anything but one pose too, from what I can see. Dan |

Eureka does make US sailors for Wake island but the weapons are obviously wrong. Peter Pig heads may help move them toward what you seek. |

Before there was a plethora of 28mm U-Boot crew I used American Civil War artillerists with of course, a head swap. |
