If so, in what context?

By the way, these are the only traditional (Medieval, Renaissance period) Ninjas I know of in 15mm:

REBEL MINIS

OLD GLORY 15s

Know of any others from that period?

Thanks,

Thinking about it as an excuse to pick up Rebel's pack. I have been tempted to start up a cyberpunk / Shadowrun style mini campaign after rereading my Gibson collection. Can't have a near future techno dystopia without ninjas.

I thought Eureka had some, but I can't seem to find them now. If you want something a bit more futuristic, don't forget about the Kremlin cyber-ninjas:

You could convert some to have firearms and you could wargame the 1984 film "The Ninja Mission" My fave Ninja film of all time.

Visors and some modern web gear might work. Sort of the G.I. Joe snakeyes effect.

ninjas were basically information gathering, mission accomplishing secret agents of their time and as such, blending in with the common people was often of utmost importance…. while it is not sexy, modern ninjas would probably look like a guy in a suit , or jeans and a polo
or normal bdus with a skimask

Paint swords various bright colors. Use as Essence Wielders for Blasters & Bulkheads.

Heck, even in fantasy they should look like everyone else. The PJs were for very specific purposes.

Whiffwaff, is there an update on the Ninja figures with modern small arms.I'd be really interested in seeing them.

Cheers

I bought them and they are cast but haven't made it into the painting queue yet. Also have a snatch squad (cast and painted but not added) and a couple of modern criminals (cast but not painted). If anyone wants some they can contact me and I'll dig them up!

The ninjas don't actually have long firearms--some have just kitana, others have kitana and Uzi.

Heck, even in fantasy they should look like everyone else. The PJs were for very specific purposes.
The "black pjs" is from Japanese theater. The "tech crew" in charge of sets and whatnot wore black PJs (just like how modern stage tech crew wears all black), and the audience would pretend to not see them as they changed the sets.

When a script called for someone to be assassinated by a ninja, one of the actors would be in the black PJs of the set crew and suddenly step forward and attack their stage target.

Has nothing to do with how the historical spies would dress in reality.

psst, K, that's "kAtana", not a single "i" in the word.

Actually, it should be ninjato.
Katanas are a samurai thing.

There might be a new, high-tech armored ninja with a sword miniature coming soon…

Sadly Kremlin miniatures casting machine is down. Hopefully the good comrades will have it fixed soon.

Essex do ninjas in 15mm as part of their fantasy line

Sadly no pics but from what I remember they are very similar and compatible to the Kremlin minis.
Quite an extensive selection with packs available with blowpipe, grappling hook, swords, sword and blowpipe,
bow

From what I remember, I'm pretty certain there was a variety in poses.

Maybe go with the Assorted Ninja's pack. I'm going to use four of them against my 15mm Automaton from 15mm.co.uk.

They are painted Kraangishly to look like these guys.

and some of Rebel Minis MIB painted to look like

and are controlled by these guys, the Collective Mind Monster from 15mm.co.uk.

Sorry I couldn't be more of a help.

LOL

Guys,

Didn't someone come up with a new set of 15mm Ninjas in the last few months?
