Does somebody know about it (the tricorne caught my eye)?

The Guild (original title: Snapphanar) by Mans Marlind & Björn Stein, 2006
Seemingly a TV mini series re-formated 6 years later as a direct-to-video movie after the authors gained some fame with Underworld 4 (but, sorry, *no* Kate Beckinsale there!).

Swashbuckling in late 17th C. Scandinavia (but featuring GNW uniforms, hence the tricorne): betrayals, murders, rebels, heroes, vengeance… the usual stuff, but in the snow for a change. I'm afraid the 'ghosts' mentioned on the cover are 'ghosts from the past', not (un)real ones.

"'Snapphanar' is set in the 17th century Sweden where the war between Sweden and Denmark is raging full force. The story is of a young man, Nils Getting, who one night loose everyone he loves and everything he owns because of the war. Nils decides to seek revenge and in the shadow of on-going war he becomes a resistance man, Snapphane. The road to revenge is filled with friendship, betrayal, forbidden love and the fight for freedom."
Who knows if it is good or abysmal?

From the preview this is definately placed on my list for DVD purchase. Interesting the use of crossbow as this would be far more intimidating than any flintlock in wet weather.

Thanks for the link.
